Against the cult of the dead, for life

Superstition, ancestor worship and oracles are not unusual in everyday life: On holidays, for example, the bones of the dead are taken from their tombs to attend dances in honor of the gods, along with excessive drinking. The cult of the dead broods over the »Red Island«  like a curse.

The Malagasy are deeply involved in death cult and sorcery. Many suspect that they are in a dead end, but without finding the way out. Their everyday life is dominated by inner bonds and fear. Our evangelistic events in the Sofia region are often attended by almost all the villagers, and it is not uncommon for entire villages to embrace the Christian faith - including the village sorcerers.

Intensive follow-up is provided: we plant new churches, send pastors there, and offer video Bible schools. In this way, the spiritual beginners quickly grow into mature Christians. It is touching to observe the great changes. People's lives - previously dominated by hopelessness and fear - are visibly being defined by new perspectives and joy.

And in the prisons in Madagascar, the Good news sets people free, even though they still have to sit behind bars (for a long time).
