Bike Charity Day 2023

The Review

It is already history, the Bike Charity Day 2023, and how! 73 brave riders between 5 and 84 years completed an unbelievable 5'138 bicycle kilometers, spurred on by more than 600 (!) sponsors and rewarded with a great finish celebration with beautiful weather.

The current projections result in a donation sum of approximately CHF 122,000 in favor of the two selected projects. Thus, the already fifth ACP Bike Charity Day truly writes history: Not only as a great experience for us, but also as a contribution to the life story of all the people who can be supported with the proceeds. Thank you all very much!

Bibles for the Hindu Kush

There is great hardship in the Hindu Kush, a mountainous region in Central Asia. Earthquakes, floods, political instability, high inflation and rising prices are driving many people in need into even greater poverty. ACP has been able to help several thousand destitute families through various relief projects. Although many regions are inaccessible and closed, God has opened a door and created access to people in order to reach them with the gospel. With this project, we are supporting our local partners in printing a total of 10,000 Bibles and distributing them in high-risk areas, among other places. This campaign will strengthen persecuted Christians, lead new people to Jesus and establish churches. Above all, however, people should receive the Bread of Life (Jesus) so that everyone who comes to Him will never hunger or thirst again (John 6:35).

A Bible costs around CHF 13 from printing to delivery. The cost of transporting Bibles to high-risk areas accounts for a large part of this amount.

Bread for North Korea

The supply situation in North Korea is dramatic. Various factors contribute to this emergency: The soil is depleted, there is a lack of fertilizer, drought and flooding have devastated crops, and the trade embargo and border closures further isolate the country from the rest of the world. Currently, about 11 million people (45% of the population) are malnourished and almost 20 million (80%) have an unbalanced diet.

ACP operates three bakeries and three soy milk factories locally and distributes the products to children in day nurseries, kindergartens, orphanages and primary schools. Thanks to this in-house production, 10,000 children can be provided with a meal five days a week. A meal costs CHF 5 per child per month.
