Tanzania - Children's homes

Shelter for Children

There are countless orphans in Tanzania. About 170 of them have found a loving home in our children's villages in Kemondo and Morgoro.

The children in our homes are cared for by their »mothers« in family groups of about ten children. They can grow up here protected in a loving atmosphere. They get to know a real family life and build up appropriate social skills.

Part of the children's upbringing is that they learn responsibility by being required to do chores and work in the garden. In our own kindergarten we prepare our little ones for everyday school life. Once they are in school, they quickly find their way around and learn well. The success speaks for itself.

To make the children fit for life, we offer them the full range of education. From kindergarten through elementary school to secondary school.

After graduation, the adolescents are not left to fend for themselves. We strive to enable them to pursue a course of study or other training appropriate to their talents.
