Youth unemployment is around 50 percent. Young people in particular are leaving the country to build a better future in Western Europe. As a result, the total population has been shrinking for more than a decade.

Unfortunately, Islamization and radicalization have also increased: In recent years, no European state - measured by population size - has produced as many jihadists as Bosnia and Herzegovina. Within a few years, hundreds of mosques were built in a relatively small area with money from the Arab region and Turkey, to promote the spread of moderate and radical Islam from the outside.
