A Vision Comes to Life
In 2024, we reported on the dedication of our church in Malisheva. The building had stood empty for eleven years until our partner in Pristina received a vision and said, “I have the impression that God is calling the people of Malisheva.” ACP helped purchase, renovate, and furnish the property. After the opening, our partner started children’s programs, since the church is located right next to a school.
Today, two years later, the church is so well known among the children in Malisheva that they flock there as soon as an activity is offered. One of the staff members who is deeply committed to this work is Labeat. Twice a week, he travels from Pristina to visit families in need, deliver food and in-kind donations, and share the gospel with people.
Labeat also leads a youth group that meets weekly. The young people appreciate him greatly—not least because he speaks from personal experience. For ten years, he struggled with drug addiction and, at age 19, spent two years in prison. He came to faith at a Christian rehabilitation clinic through staff members from our partner’s team. Today, he is in his second year of Bible school.
For the past three years, Labeat has been passionately following Jesus—with a humble character and a willingness to go wherever God sends him; with a life that testifies to the power of salvation and restoration.
